Michela Depetris (she/her)_lives in Turin

She studied visual arts and contemporary dance in Italy and Spain (Accademia Albertina delle Belle Arti, Torino/Universidad Politecnica de Bellas Artes, Valencia/Master in Performing Arts and Visual Culture, Reina Sofia Museum, Madrid)

She works with hybrid languages between dance, writing, video, sound and participatory projects, situating her research in a mixed open field in which each medium always leads to the body with an expanded vision of choreography.

In 2026 she presented the performance IN THE NAME OF DARKNESS, MAGIC AND VULNERABILITY, premiered in Supernova (Rimini) and created with financial support from Culture Moves Europe and supported by Residenze Coreografiche of Lavanderia a Vapore and Fondazione Piemonte dal Vivo, with the support of Base (Milan), Cripta 747 (Turin), Workspace Ricerca X (Turin), La Caldera_Barcelona and Linha de Fuga.

She is the author of  WOW WIDE WEB (2024), performance created with the support of Residenze Coreografiche Piemonte dal Vivo of Lavanderia a Vapore (Collegno), Base (Milano), SPAM Centro per le arti contemporanee (Lucca) and L’Estruch Fàbrica de Creació de les Arts en Viu (Sabadell).

She’s working on CARING WITH, INTERDEPENDENCY IS COOL, a new project supported by Residenze Coreografiche Piemonte dal Vivo of Lavanderia a Vapore (Collegno).

As a performer she works for Calderoni/Caleo, Ari B. Meyers, Derek Di Fabio, Cinthia Marcelle and Maria Folguera.
